People who work in the adult entertainment industry come together to share experiences. Everyone is welcome to join and help organize. It doesn’t matter what language you speak, what role you currently hold or have held in the industry, or whether you’re registered or not.

We aim to create a space where everyone feels comfortable sharing their stories, asking questions, and connecting with other colleagues. In our industry, we benefit so much from the support and experience of our peers!

Especially since the new Prostitute Protection Act went into effect, there have been many changes in the adult entertainment industry. Many of us are still finding our way around these changes. So why not talk about these changes together? What has changed for you since then? Where do you draw your strength from? What is particularly weighing on you? What do you need? What do you wish for?

But general questions about working methods, health, stigmatization, safety, coming out, workplaces, self-care, and support options, etc., are also very welcome. We look forward to hearing from you!

We pay for organizing discussion groups. It’s important to us to compensate you for your expertise and your time. You can share key findings and topics from your discussions with Hydra, together with your group leaders. Hydra e.V. can then work to tailor our Café’s offerings to your needs and will advocate for your concerns in the fight for the rights of people in the adult entertainment industry.

⭐️You can stop by during regular hours (every Wednesday from 2–6 pm) to chat with other sex workers and former sex workers, work together, or just hang out. We have a small sofa and reading corner, showers, a kitchen, and a clothing donation box. If this is your first time at the café, please take a moment to read our guidelines.

  • A social worker is usually on site to answer questions on the spot
  • Additionally, free HIV/STI testing takes place every first Wednesday of the month, conducted by staff from Checkpoint Bln
  • And every third Wednesday, we have a doctor visiting who answers basic questions about general medical and health topics

⭐️Regular focus groups where participants can discuss shared experiences and specific topics related to sex work. Currently, there is a focus group for trans and/or queer sex workers Whorelandia, a focus group for sex workers who experience racism Hoezone and a group called Dating Civilians, where you exchange about how to navigate the dating world as a sex worker.

⭐️In addition, various workshops and community events take place at the café (and sometimes online). Feel free to check our calendar or our Instagram channel for upcoming events.

During our opening hours (Wednesdays 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM), we offer individual counseling by social workers upon request (prior registration is not necessary).

You can come to us with any problems or concerns related to your work as a sex worker. We provide guidance on social welfare and tax issues and offer support in cases of personal distress, violence, and crisis situations.

We focus on the diverse and varied life situations of sex workers. We stand by the people who come to us and treat them with respect for their life choices. All staff members are bound by confidentiality.
